My Contribution sustainability campaign

My Contribution is Balfour Beatty Investment Holdings Ltd’s engagement programme for employee-led business change. It harnesses the latent potential of thousands of employees’ ideas to improve the ways in which they collaborate and work together every day.

In July 2021, we launched a month-long, UK-wide My Contribution sustainability campaign with a ‘Think Global. Act Local. Make a Difference.’ theme, to help focus our employees’ hive-mind and generate game-changing ideas on sustainability and carbon emissions reduction.

Each of Balfour Beatty Investment Holdings Ltd’s business units agreed a specific focus area for their campaign to best support delivery of their specific sustainability action plans and allow our workforce to use their knowledge and expertise to make a difference where they work. The campaign generated over 770 ideas in less than a month, we’ve been working through all the ideas generated to look at how we can convert these into outcomes.
