COP26

Think Global. Act Local. Make a Difference.

In November 2021, world leaders gathered for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), where they reiterated their commitment to tackling climate change.

The construction and infrastructure sector has a key role in efforts to achieve net zero: both in supporting and advising customers in how to decarbonise new and existing infrastructure, and also in driving down emissions from its own activities.

Our COP26 activities represented over 12,000 of our supply chain partners, demonstrated a wide range of innovative activities, and provided free access to key recommendations. We outlined how, together, the construction and infrastructure industry can truly move the dial and play a key role in tackling the climate change emergency.

Sustainability has long been at the heart of everything we do. Our COP26 activities further demonstrated the bold commitments we made in our sustainability strategy, Building New Futures, and the steps we’re taking across our business to deliver it; supporting global ambitions with local action.
