Our Sustainability Showcase

The adoption of new, cleaner technologies and digital solutions in plant and fleet and other areas of construction are an important way of cutting carbon emissions and reducing energy consumption.

Key elements of our COP26 activities were our Sustainability Showcase and our Digital Innovation Hub; demonstrating the work we are doing in our use of plant & fleet and digitisation to contribute to our sustainability actions, ambitions and targets.

For our Sustainability Showcase we turned our Shotts depot into a destination to demonstrate the significant progress we have made in sustainable plant and fleet including modern methods of construction, simulators and electric fleet.

During COP26, our Digital Innovation Hub based in Construction Scotland Innovation Centre was kitted out with digital activities including our control room, virtual reality, virtual twins, explaining our approach and the great work we’re doing.
